It honestly was a very strange place to end. You're in the middle of a lot of flashbacks, and it doesn't seem like you're finished with them yet. A flashback about how Tezuka broke it off or at least a little paragraph explaining it probably would have made this chapter seem like it actually ended, instead of just kind of trailing off. Great way to make a cliff-hanger, though.
